About Iris
Hi! I’m a college student with a strong background in math. I scored a 35 on the ACT and earned 5s on AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Physics, AP macro and microeconomics exam. I know math can sometimes feel frustrating, so I enjoy helping students find the “aha!” moment when everything finally clicks. I believe every student can improve with the right support and enough practice.

Math can be fun when it makes sense! I have worked with students at different grade levels. For example, I helped an elementary school student improve basic multiplication and word problems through short practice exercises. I also supported a middle school student with equations and geometry by reviewing mistakes and practicing similar problems. For high school students, I have helped explain algebra and functions step by step, especially when preparing for quizzes and exams. These experiences taught me how to adjust my teaching style for different ages and learning needs.
