About Karishma
I am a student from the university of Kent, studying politics and law. My mother tongue in English however my family moved to France as I was still a toddler. I attended a French school until high school after which I moved to Norway and transferred to an International (IB) school. This is especially valuable if the tutorials are intended in sight of IB exams. I think both in English and French and have tutored before but only out of goodwill therefore I wouldn't feel comfortable claiming a "professional" status.

When learning new languages I find it most important to interact as much as possible, and therefore try to speak as little English as possible. Having to learn a language without immersing yourself in the culture makes it much more difficult and one often feels shy with regards to pronunciation. Therefore I Like to stimulate my students with humour, pop culture, current events and through the arts (movies, music, comic strips...) This not only alleviates them as least partly from some of the tedious rules of French grammar, it gives them the opportunity to (try and) discuss subjects which might actually interest them. Students don't all use the same cognitive processes when learning therefor I find it important to stay flexible and be willing to try out different methods before adopting one which would be best suited for my student(s). Finally and most importantly I want my student(s) to feel comfortable with me so they feel compelled to ask questions and feel free to make as many mistakes as possible.
