About Kelly
A little bit about my passion. I love children. I find teaching an amazing ability that not everyone has the patience or correct mindset for. I am passionate about positively influencing my community and giving students a chance to see schoolwork from another perspective.
In my own family, I am the oldest and I have three additional siblings. They are what makes me motivated to help other children.
I am a fairly artistic person. I love arts and crafts and have acquired many arts-related hobbies in my lifetime. I also enjoy simple things like gaming and talking to friends.

I am a second-year undergraduate college student. I am confident in helping children with writing and math skills and general homework questions.
My experience with writing comes from research writing courses in college and various types of essays and responses that I do at least 3 times a week. I can help students brainstorm ideas independently and understand the structure of a good essay. Limited to grades K-9.
My experience with math is limited to K-9. I can tutor in geometry and algebra I and II.
The type of tutoring that I provide is a slower, but effective method. I believe that students who have a harder time understanding concrete material require someone like me who focuses on the visual and creative aspects of learning. I do not believe learning to be a linear process as that encourages more stress upon students and their relationship with their education. Through trial and error, I will begin to grasp students' preferred learning methods and ensure the best and most effective learning environment for them outside of school.
Disclaimer: I am not a tutor with expertise in a specific subject nor do I have the qualifications of a real tutor. Sometimes I will be as confused as the student on homework problems, but that is what I believe sets me apart from other tutors with an authority mindset.
