About Ryan
Currently an undergraduate student at the University of Albany. I've been surrounded by music my entire life and would love to spread my knowledge and passion to others. I've been playing the bass guitar for upwards of 6 years and have gotten down some of the most advanced techniques during that time.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons fun and practical. When learning bass, it is important to develop timing, technique, and musical understanding, not just memorize songs.
* I teach step-by-step so students understand how bass lines work.
* I focus on proper finger technique, rhythm, and groove from the start
* I use real songs to make learning more interesting
* I adjust lessons based on the student’s level and music taste (rock, jazz, funk, hip-hop, metal, etc.)
* I help students learn how to play by ear, read tabs, and understand basic music theory
