About Renesh

Hey future students, my name is Renesh! I am from the Bay Area in California. I am currently a first-year undergraduate student at UCLA studying computational and systems biology along the premed track. As a student that has recently been accepted into college, I know how stressful school can be. Sometimes all you need is someone that can help you get through it. I am relatable and welcoming, so even past tutoring, feel free to tell me whatever you need to and ask for advice of any kind.

I have two years of tutoring experience from volunteering at a local library. I was responsible for recognizing students’ weaknesses and helping them improve in those specific areas. Through this experience, I have worked with students ranging from elementary to high school, so I am well versed in different tutoring styles and levels.

Math Qualifications:
I was placed in the advanced math program for all of high school so I have thoroughly covered subjects such as Algebra 1, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra 2 and received straight As. I have also taken AP calculus AB for which I received a 5 on the test. I have taken 2 college-level calculus courses for life scientists. Additionally, I have taken the SAT twice and scored an 800 on the math section both times.

Science Qualifications:
I took honors level courses for biology and chemistry in high school and received As in both subjects. I went on to take AP bio and AP chem, both of which I received a 5 on. As a premed student, I have also taken all the college-level lower division biology and chemistry courses and received an A in all of them.

About the lesson

The structure of my tutoring is flexible. I just ask that you send the material that you need help with in advance by about 1-2 days so I can look over it and prepare a plan before your tutoring session. If there is no concrete material I would at least prefer a detailed explanation of what you desire from the tutoring session. I exclusively tutor online and I use an Ipad to screen share so that you can see everything I write clearly. Recordings of each session will also be available to students shortly after the session. I will also do my best to find outside resources for practice at home if I feel that it is necessary. My lessons are for students K-12.
