About Alisa
I have experience tutoring grade 9 and 10 students in algebra and trigonometry, as well as primary school students in basic math concepts, along with helping my younger brother and sister through out their primary to secondary schooling. Through my experiences, I have learned and perfected my teaching techniques to help students better understand and enjoy math.

Growing up in a household where math was emphasized as the most important subject, I understand the frustration of younger students when trying to understand mathematic concepts. Math wasn’t my favorite subject growing up, but began to love it in high school, as I learned to excel in subjects such as algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I offer a patient, compassionate, and encouraging approach, where I strive to help students think through questions and develop their mathematic thinking.
