About Aanika

Hi! My name is Aanika and I am an undergraduate student studying Behavioral Neuroscience. I tutored students K-12 throughout high school and college, and I am skilled in math and science. I have been speaking Spanish since I was 5 years old, and have been studying behavioral sciences and psychology as well, just to name a few other areas of expertise. I focus tutoring sessions on the student's knowledge set, and I teach skills for academic success even when I am not around to help.

-Uses students personal interests and prior knowledge to best explain challenging concepts
-Creates a lesson plan to gauge understanding, teach and solidify concepts, practice, and review

Adib and I worked out logistics for tutoring, discussed our expectations for future sessions, and talked about Adib's class load. We worked on chemistry problems after. It would be great if in our next session Adib was able to take the lesson in a quiet undisturbed location with good wifi connection, as we had lots of technical difficulties throughout.

Whenever I didn’t understand a concept, she would make sure we went over enough practice problems until I understood and made me feel comfortable enough asking all of the questions I needed. I felt as though I could really rely on her and excelled so much more in my class with her help.
