About Jiaxuan
Hello, My name is Jiaxuan. I am a patient, committed tutor who helps students work on their improvement and gain confidence in areas they need it. I am currently an undergraduate studying Aerospace MEng at the University of Manchester. For my A-levels I studied Maths, Physics, Furthermaths and Chemistry with top grades in Maths and Physics-(A*A*AA).I bring into my lessons a highly content-rich combination of expertise and practical knowledge. Through my experiences working with students in a Year 11 Maths class to teaching year 5-7 the basics of 3D printing, I learned to adjust accordingly to best meet each of their needs and guarantee a non-negative and productive learning environment. I try to create an environment supportive enough that the student feels free to ask questions and learn academically.

Being more individualistic in approach, I consider the learning style of each student while structuring my lesson plan. I will be teaching different step-by-step strategies to aid in developing critical thinking in students. I would also use active recall techniques and exam-style questions to help them understand and remember important information. Most importantly my lessons would be more interactive and not based on the traditional lecture as I want students to actively engage in solving problems or understanding concepts. The typical length of the lesson would be 1 hour. As an Undergraduate Aerospace MEng student at the University of Manchester, I have obtained a strong academic background achieving A*A*AA at A-level, in Maths, Physics , Furthermaths and Chemistry, achieving A*s in both Maths and Physics. I have experience in tutoring students from secondary school, during my free periods I would assist students in a year 11 maths class. Furthermore I have also assisted in introducing students from year 5 to year 7 to the basics of 3D printing and modelling. From this I have learned how to interact with students in various age groups and understand their learning capabilities and how they process information. My lessons are aimed at students aged 12 to 18, covering KS3 , GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics. Whether it is a student aiming to nail basic concepts or an achieving one aiming for the top grades, my aim remains to try to help them become the best version of themselves.
