About Bianca
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Edinburgh and I study Cognitive Science here! I achieved 3 A*'s at A-level, in History, English Literature and Biology. I also took Chemistry in Year 12! Outside of this, I enjoy acting and singing, and occasionally playing the guitar or piano.

Hi! My name is Bianca and I am an Undergraduate student at the University of Edinburgh looking to help GCSE and A-level students with their History revision as they navigate through the exam process. I achieved a 9 in History at GCSE, and an A* at A-level with top marks in my coursework, and want to help others do the same.
When I was in secondary school, I took on many mentoring positions, including for History GCSE students, delivering weekly sessions to students. I am super passionate about tailoring lessons to the individual, focusing on content which the student finds most challenging, in a way that makes it far more accessible.
A typical session would look like this :
- Recap from what was revised the previous week
- Focusing on 1-3 topics or techniques per session
- Asking the student to highlight which specific parts of the topic(s) they find most complex
- Clarification/Simplification of content (in depth explanation, diagrams)
- Review questions to make sure the content has been clarified
- Outline of exam techniques (to apply to content)
- Practice Exam questions with a focus on exam techniques
I am available for both in person (in Edinburgh) or online lessons and have a flexible schedule to accommodate for you.
