About Diya

Passionate about improving the confidence of students in their studies and working individually with them to reach their academic potential
- 2 years private tutoring GCSE maths experience
- Experience tutoring maths with students aged 8-9 with Royal Institute Maths Masterclasses. Involved explaining complex unknown maths problems and practicing questions.

About the lesson

- Individualised teaching approach - focus on adapting each lesson to students' specific concerns.
- Teaching method: understand struggles student is having, break down problems/questions by part and explain how to solve each step, give student a range of questions to build up to the problem they face so they understand the entire process required to answer similar questions, practice more challenging exam questions of the same type to push their understanding further.
- Lesson length 45 minutes/1 hour to allow for time to delve into problems fully and explore a variety of questions to apply knowledge to ensure student is confident with these questions after.
- Teach ages 11+ (starting at 8 years old) to A-Level (18 years old).
