About Catherine Ann
I did not speak one word of spanish 14 years ago but learning words first, then phrases, and reading, enabled me to put together sentences and eventually converse fluently. I believe that having learnt spanish this way enables me to teach it well as I can appreciate the obstacles and help overcome them.

Spanish
I learned spanish at the age of 50. If I can do it, so can you. Spanish is now the language I speak at home all the time with my husband and my son. For me, conversation was the best way to learn, as well as reading, because spanish, unlike English which can have many different ways of spelling a word, is spoken exactly as it is written.
