About Lies

Asian culture has interested me since childhood, which is why I decided to make it my field of study. I completed my bachelor's degree in Japanology, in which Korean language courses were also taught. I already have some experience in teaching, thanks to previous student jobs.

About the lesson

My teaching style is slightly different from others as I mainly teach through videos. After agreement, previously recorded videos with the lesson are sent to the student. Beforehand, an introduction will take place with the student (eg via email), so that the needs can be discussed. It is still the intention to have a good relationship between teacher and student, so if there are questions, they can be sent in any way the student wants (mail, video, recoder, ...). Depending on the level of difficulty, I will send an answer as soon as possible via email or video. Practicing pronunciation can be done in the same way.

This has the advantage that:

- The lesson rates are much lower.
- The student can follow the lessons at any time, without having to take the teacher into account.
- The student can learn the subject matter at his or her own pace. Is one hour of continuous learning too much? No problem, watch the lesson at a later time.
- Not in the mood to be social, but still want learn something? Just follow lessons from your bed, couch, ...
- Did something unexpected come up? No more hassle with changing lesson dates, just watch it when it suits you.
- You will be sent videos with additional explanations on questions, all included in the price.

For my lessons I mainly use the books of Integrated Korean beginning 1&2, and some video material to change it up a bit. In my opinion, learning grammar and practicing speaking skills is the most important, but if there is interest in, for example, listening skills, reading skills, writing skills, ... this can certainly be practiced.

I look forward to connecting with fellow Korea lovers (⌒▽⌒)☆ .

Eigenschappen zoals behulpzaamheid, geduld en hardwerkend zijn bij Lies zeker te vinden. Tijdens de doedagen bij De Nekker, waar zij als monitor heeft gewerkt, heeft ze deze skills zeker aan de dag gelegd. Ze legde vriendelijk en geduldig de kunstwerkjes uit aan de kinderen. En die verlieten enthousiast haar werkbank. En met dezelfde gedrevenheid en geduld zal ze zeker de Japanse lessen tot anderen uitleggen.
