About Amy
I am currently a part-time student, and part-time athlete at the University of Bath, about to start my master's degree in a few months' time. When I am not studying, you will find me on the athletics track or lifting weights at the gym! My friends commend me most for my calming aura and helping nature that puts people at ease when going through stressful situations.
I have always loved academia, especially Biology, and found very early on the exam techniques and methods which work exceptionally well. This is why I love to teach; I want to help other students smash their exams as well!

My teaching methodology consists of the same techniques that I used when I was in school to get straight 9's and A*'s. With my students, I like to use a range of visual, verbal and kinesthetic techniques, not only to understand the content but to help memorise exactly what they need to know for their exams. I am happy to create lessons for each and every topic, but I am also happy for the student to take the lead and tell me exactly how they want to use my time. As seen by my own academic success, my teaching methods really do work!
My lessons are for students between the ages of 14-18, those who are taking Biology and/or PE for GCSE or A-level. The typical length of a lesson can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, but I can offer however long you need.
I have been tutoring students for coming up to 5 years now. As requested by my head of sixth form, I tutored a group of GCSE students through their exams and as part of my University experience, I have tutored A-level students from local schools. This year I have even had the chance to help some of the freshers through their first-year biology modules! However, my favourite teaching experience so far has been travelling to Cambodia to teach English in the school that my high school raised money to build.
