About Maya
Hello! I'm a senior in college studying biology with a minor in chemistry. I've been selected for competitive internships, was the president for our chapter of the National Biology Honors Society, and have been on the dean's list. My mother is a teacher and I've been helping her with extra tutoring for as long as I can remember. I've also worked in summer schools and volunteered to teach soccer to children with disabilities.

I don't like to throw out information and expect everyone to understand what I'm saying. Science is based on complex systems constantly working towards harmony. This idea can be applied to anything in life. Science is best learned when you can make connections between what you read in textbooks, and what you see and experience day to day. I don't believe there is ever a bad question, and I don't believe that you can work on a topic for too long. My goal is to make you feel more comfortable with the subject, and build a strong foundation that will never leave you.

Details
If you must cancel, please do so at least 3 hours before the lesson. I do not charge any canceling fee. I prefer to do lessons through the webcam, and I'm okay with extending the time if there happens to be any internet issues. The price for in person lessons is much higher due to the pandemic and travel, but since I'm am fully vaccinated I am willing to meet in person.
