About Daisy
My name is Daisy and I am a third-year student at the University of Birmingham currently working towards a degree in Physics and Astrophysics. I was motivated to start sharing my knowledge and passion for physics and maths due to the tutoring opportunities I pursued during school and university.
I love understanding the world and seeing physics in action; every answer unlocks another question. Physics has inspired me, and I aim to enjoy a long and successful career in it. I was motivated when studying physics for GCSE, encountering many fascinating topics such as the death of stars and the Doppler phenomenon. With the knowledge that science is my vocation, I have continued to investigate the physical world during my university degree.

I offer relaxed and friendly online sessions that can be tailored to suit anyone's style of learning and ability; improving the understanding and confidence of my students is of equal importance to improving their grades! I can offer tutoring in both Mathematics and Physics at any level up to GCSE.
My lessons are structured around what the student wants to achieve and any goals they want to meet. This may include having structured sessions with a lesson plan, running through practice exam papers or improving/developing various approaches to revision. The typical length of my sessions are one hour, though this can be adjusted.
At GCSE, I achieved a Grade 9 in Mathematics and an A* in Physics. Subsequently, at A-Level, I attained an A* in Mathematics, an A in Further Mathematics and an A in Physics.
Previously, I have worked as an assistant tutor for English and Mathematics at a local education centre, helping students from Key Stage 1 up to GCSE level. I have also been able to work both one-on-one and on a broader scale with a group of GCSE students while working as a tutor at my school. My roles included providing the students with assistance when they were having difficulties with questions, marking the students' work and providing feedback.
