About Ary

Hi! I'm an Electrical Engineering graduate from the University of Calgary with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, calculus, and analytical problem-solving. I enjoy helping students make sense of difficult concepts in a clear, practical way and I believe real confidence comes from understanding the reasoning behind an answer, not just memorizing formulas.

My engineering education trained me to approach problems logically, break complex ideas into manageable steps and stay patient through challenging material. Along the way, I've also picked up leadership and customer-facing experience that's shaped me into a clear communicator, an active listener and someone people can depend on.

More than anything, I want to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving at their own pace.

About the lesson

Understanding why a method works matters more here than memorizing steps. Lessons follow a clear progression from concept explanation, worked examples and guided practice to independent problem-solving. This way students build both confidence and accuracy along the way.

A typical session starts via pinpointing the topic or trouble spots, reviewing the key concept and then working through questions step by step. Pace and depth of explanation adjust to fit the student, and having them walk through their own reasoning out loud makes it easy to spot exactly where the gaps are.

My Electrical Engineering background brings a solid foundation in math, physics, calculus and analytical problem-solving alongside a knack for breaking down difficult concepts and connecting classroom theory to real-world application.

Another specialty of mine is that I have worked hard to find study techniques for myself over the years that I believe can be applied to my students as well, such as active recall or spaced repetition and have applied them in a variety of different ways.

These lessons are best suited for high school students in Math, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Physics as well as anyone looking for extra support with problem-solving, exam prep, homework or strengthening core concepts.

I'm also familiar with the Alberta curriculum and can help students prepare specifically for Diploma Exams (Math 30-1, Math 30-2, Physics 30) and other provincial assessments (Provincial Achievement Test, etc).
