About Jason

Hi, I’m Jason! I'm a graduate of the University of Cambridge.

I tutor History, English, Politics, RE, Sociology, Law, Maths, Biology and more—from primary school up to first-year university, including 11+, GCSEs, A-Levels, university entrance / interview tests and IELTS. I’ve helped students from all backgrounds, including high-achieving international learners, grow in confidence, ability, and motivation.

My approach is supportive but precise: I’ll encourage you to embrace mistakes, learn from them, and to confidently improve your approach to academic challenges. I’ll give you clear feedback, personalised support, and plenty of practice to help you reach your goals (yes, homework too!). Therefore, aside from working with tutees, I also engage with parents and carers to appreciate what it is that needs improving.

About the lesson

My lessons are all about building confidence, encouraging practice, and making sure students feel comfortable enough to ask questions when things don’t make sense. You’re not expected to be perfect—mistakes are how we learn, and I’ll support you every step of the way.

I do expect effort: taking part in lessons, doing homework, and using feedback to improve. If you’re willing to try, I’ll help you grow—both in your subject and in your self-belief.

For parents: I offer a friendly, structured learning space and will keep you updated on progress.
For students: I’ll help you feel more confident, capable, and in control of your learning.
