About Charlie
I am a University of Cambridge researcher with the Master's of Architecture & Urban Design programme. I have worked internationally as an educator; teaching undergraduate classes at Cambridge on portfolio development and research technique, and also coordinating the Design Thinking curriculum at UWC ISAK Japan. In addition to teaching I have worked in admissions at the University of Cambridge, interviewing prospective students and assessing their research proposals for both originality and academic value. I've been passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge for many years, it brings me real joy to witness my students go on to achieve great things inside and outside of academia. I look forward to meeting more young students from around the world who are looking to maximise their potential through my classes - please don't hesitate to reach out for more information!

In my teaching I synthesise my experience as a designer and knowledge of the university admissions system to provide you with comprehensive advice on how to optimally present yourself as a prospective student - both academically and personally. Previous students I have worked with to improve their portfolio and personal presentation skills have gone on to join the University of Cambridge and a variety of prestigious London universities from University College London to the Royal College of Art.

Charlie was an amazing teacher when I was applying to university. Not only did he help me with my application writing and interview technique, but he also helped me improve my English! He is a very friendly teacher and easy to talk to, I think he will be a great teacher for many more students in the future!
Charlie helped me with my English language a lot. This was especially important for me because I was preparing for an interview at Oxford University. I'm very happy with the results I achieved learning from Charlie and have recommended him to all of my friends!
Charlie helped me build my portfolio and figure out how I can present my work in the best way possible. In our lessons he was very friendly and easy to get on with. He's a very talented designer and I can't recommend him enough!
Charlie helped me get into my first choice university to study Architecture! He was so helpful and encouraging throughout the whole tutoring process, can't recommend him enough!!
