About Ricardo
I am a Cambridge Graduate with a passion for Philosophy and teaching. I aspire to be a professor of Philosophy in the future alongside being an author and entrepreneur.
I take pride in being able to break down complex issues and opinions into smaller, digestible, chunks. Part of my mission in life is to make Philosophy more accessible and this is a great opportunity to hone my ability to teach and inspire young students to achieve the best they can.
As the oldest of seven, I am a patient and understanding character. I love to teach those who are passionate but also try and encourage those less passionate to see the joy in learning.

I believe the conversational approach to teaching is extremely efficient and brings the best out of students. This allows us to work at a pace that best suits you as a student and ensure that you fully understand the topic.
This is similar to the methods used at Cambridge and therefore also helps you prepare for the style of teaching you'll encounter at university.
I will ask for the area of focus (topic, struggle, book, etc.) before the first lesson in order to prepare the material and approach.
My lessons are mostly an hour in length but I am more than happy to extend to 1.5-hour or 2-hour lessons depending on circumstances.
I have tutored family and friends for years in many different subject areas and helped people apply to Oxbridge and other universities. My lessons will mostly suit A-level students and 15-16 year old GCSE students.
