About Hattie
Hi I am Hattie and I am in my second year studying natural sciences at the University of Cambridge. I completed my GCSEs in 2022, getting 9 grade 9's at GCSE. I completed my A levels in 2024, getting 3 A*s in maths, biology and chemistry and one A in further maths. I love learning and want to be able to help other students to love learning and optimise their scores in exams. I know that studying may feel boring and difficult from time to time but I believe that anyone is capable of doing anything with hard work and I want to be able to help students to improve their grades and feel confident and self-assured in their abilities.

My lessons take on the approach of 'practice makes perfect'. Maths is quite a difficult subject but when you begin to understand the concepts underlying it, it can become super fun! My aim is for students to be able to gain confidence in maths, helping them to obtain excellent results in their exams. In my lessons, there will be a focus on working together through problems, creating step-by-step solutions to common problems that come up in exams, ensuring that students can access more marks in their exams. Many students experience a block when it comes to maths, believing it is an innate skill. I want to be able to help those who feel that maths is not for them, showing that it can be for anyone and that it shouldn't hold you back in achieving your potential!
