About Lwandle
Hello! My name is Lwandle Gumede, and I am a first-year medical student at UCT with a strong passion for Mathematics and helping students reach their full potential. Having achieved A averages in Math, I understand both the hard work and consistency needed to succeed academically.
One reason I connect well with students is because I understand how overwhelming the jump from Grade 9 Math to Grade 10 Math can be. I personally experienced a drop in my marks into the 70s during that transition, despite previously performing very well. However, through consistent practice, past paper training, and improving my understanding of difficult concepts, I was able to regain confidence and achieve even higher marks by matric. This experience allows me to encourage students from a place of understanding and patience.
My lessons are supportive, engaging, and focused on helping students strengthen weak areas through targeted practice and exam-focused preparation. I teach in both English and isiZulu and mainly work with high school and matric students. My goal is to help students not only improve their marks, but also build confidence in their own abilities.
