My approach to language learning and teaching is to begin by assessing the student’s current proficiency and tailor lessons to that level. Each session will be divided into three broad parts: grammar and writing, conversational speaking, and visual and auditory learning (generally videos and music, but also news recordings, theatre, and other genres depending on the student’s interests and comprehension level).
I am a graduate student in Latin American History focusing on art, culture and politics in 20th century Mexico City. I am a fluent, non-native speaker with a certificate (minor) in Spanish from Princeton University and have been studying the language for many years. I am very much looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience as a non-native speaker with current students or anyone looking to learn or further their knowledge of this beautiful and extremely versatile world language.
