About Bahasi
I am a recent graduate of the University of Florida. I received my Bachelor's degree in Criminology and African American studies- both concentrations required heavy reading, writing, and critical thinking. During my time at the university, I maintained a GPA of 3.99 on a 4.0 scale while participating in campus involvement as a student ambassador and a chair, or director, of several committees. I have also had several opportunities to work with students throughout my life. In high school, I was part of a drama program where we created and executed reading and acting lessons with students at the local elementary and middle schools. During college, I participated in my sorority's program "Pass That Book" in which we visited local elementary schools with lesson plans focused on reading in an effort to raise the literacy rate in the area.

My teaching approach is very student centered. I know different students have very different ways of learning, so I make sure to pay attention to what each students' needs might be. Patience is also a big part of my teaching approach because of the fact that everyone learns differently. When I structure a lesson, the objectives, subject matter, and assignment are clearly laid out; throughout the course of the lesson, there are checks for understanding. Students are not only welcome, but encouraged, to ask questions or for whatever else they may need to make the learning experience smoother for them.
