About Rikundele Wisdom

Hello! My name is Rikundele Wisdom, and I am a Mathematics student at the University of Johannesburg with a passion for helping students succeed. I have always enjoyed Mathematics and believe that, with the right support and approach, every student can improve and gain confidence in the subject.

Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently worked hard to achieve excellent results. I was recognised as part of UJenius, which celebrates the top first-year students at the University of Johannesburg, and I also received the ISFAP UJ Academic Award for being one of the top first-year achievers. These achievements reflect my dedication, discipline, and strong understanding of Mathematics.

As a tutor, I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly rather than simply memorising methods, allowing them to solve problems with confidence.

Whether you need help catching up, preparing for exams, or aiming for higher marks, I will work with you to achieve your goals. I look forward to helping you unlock your full potential in Mathematics.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to help students understand Mathematics, not just memorise formulas. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, patience, and consistent practice. I explain concepts step by step, starting with the basics before moving on to more challenging problems, so students build confidence as they learn.

I tailor each lesson to the student's needs, whether they need help catching up, preparing for tests and exams, or aiming for distinctions. I encourage students to ask questions and think through problems on their own while providing support whenever needed. My goal is to help students become independent and confident problem-solvers.

I teach my lessons in English and ensure that concepts are explained in a clear, simple, and easy-to-understand way.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous work, followed by clear explanations of new concepts, worked examples, and plenty of guided practice. We finish by reviewing common mistakes and discussing effective study and exam strategies.

My lessons are aimed at students in Grades 8–12, whether they are struggling with Mathematics, looking to improve their marks, or working towards achieving distinctions. As a University of Johannesburg Mathematics student who has consistently excelled in Mathematics, I understand both the challenges students face and the study techniques that lead to success. I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to reach their full potential.
