About Karl

I am of Mexican-American background and have a Master's Degree in Spanish. I have taught all levels of Spanish to University students as well as High School students. I have taken students from no knowledge at all to being able to complete internships in Spain and Latin America. I have also taken groups of students to Spain and Mexico many times.

About the lesson

I love Spanish! And I have fun teaching it - so, I want to make it fun to learn Spanish, too! I believe that it is almost impossible to learn something that you do not enjoy -especially a new language. Depending on what level you begin with, we will focus on making conversation. Although grammar is important, it is ONLY important if it helps you to communicate. So we learn the grammar as part of communication - NOT as a thing in itself. We will learn to talk about ourselves, our lives, our family, and all the things that are important to you, not lists of words that other people think we should learn!
