My name is Lily. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Leeds. I want to tutor others as I hope to gain experience in teaching. Not only is it helpful for the student, but for me too as I can consolidate my knowledge.

My lessons will always be engaging and interactive for my students. Firstly, we will begin by identifying areas of current struggle, asking the student if there was any particular question they struggled with on their homework or within the lesson. We will go over this question at a slower pace, ensuring I explain each step in thorough detail and providing any guidance like acronyms that may make it easier to retain. After this, we will approach more exam-style questions. Initially, the student will work independently, then provide feedback on problem areas which we will then work collaboratively on, whether that is reteaching the content or identifying errors. The session will end with me asking the student what went well, how they think I can alter my methods to provide them with the best outcome and make a structured plan for the next session.
