About Oles
Hi, I am Oles! I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics, graduating with a GPA of 3.95 overall (and a perfect 4.0 in my main courses). With over 3 years of tutoring experience, including time as a university assistant while still earning my degree, I focus on creating lessons that build both confidence and mastery.
My passion for teaching began early — I was raised in a family of educators, with both of my parents being university lecturers in Ukraine for over 25 years. They passed on not just a love for mathematics, but also a strong belief in sharing knowledge with clarity and care. Students often tell me they appreciate my straightforward, honest approach and the way I explain things from a broader perspective, often connecting concepts they haven’t yet formally studied.
While I believe that real learning requires a student’s own dedication, my role is to make that process easier, deeper, and more confident by offering structure, insight, and useful shortcuts where possible.
I continue to grow as both a tutor and a mathematician by working with students of different ages and backgrounds, pursuing my master’s degree, and engaging in scientific research and publishing. I bring punctuality, empathy, and professionalism to every lesson — along with a genuine desire to help students not just succeed, but truly understand.

I believe the key to learning maths and statistics is developing deep comprehension rather than relying on mindless memorisation. My approach combines visual explanations, analogies, and step-by-step reasoning to make complex topics clear and engaging.
Being 21, I find it easy to connect with students, identify where they struggle, and explain things in a way that feels natural and relatable — like you’re talking to a helpful peer rather than a lecturer.
My lessons typically last 90 minutes for university-level subjects and 60 minutes for high school topics, but I’m flexible to meet your individual needs.
