About Margot
I am a university mathematics education lecturer with many years' experience teaching
maths in South Africa. I have experience with extra lessons in school mathematics, Advanced Programme mathematics and early years' university mathematics courses. I have a B.Sc Hons (Wits) in Applied Maths and a PhD in Mathematics Education (Wits).

I believe that it is necessary to understand maths in order to do it. Understanding is gained through both explanation (from teacher or text) and practice. I also know that it is usually necessary to revise previous mathematics work before moving on to new concepts and problems.
