About Miles
I am a second-year Mathematics student at the University of Bristol, meaning the GCSE and A-Level curricula are fresh in my memory alongside the exact techniques needed to secure top grades. In my own exams, I achieved a Grade 9 in both GCSE Maths and Further Maths, followed by an A* in A-Level Maths and an A in Further Maths.
As a competitive chess player alongside my degree, my entire approach revolves around structured problem-solving: taking complex, intimidating questions and breaking them down into clear, logical steps. I translate that directly into tutoring - focusing on intuitive explanations, methodical working out, and building independent confidence rather than rote memorisation.

Maths can feel overwhelming when it is taught as a checklist of abstract rules. My goal is to make the subject clear, logical and genuinely approachable. As a University of Bristol Mathematics student, I can specialise in helping students build structured problem-solving habits and confidence.
