About the lesson

My name is Isaac, and I am a second-year Bachelor of Science student at the University of Melbourne with a strong academic record, consistently achieving 90+ marks in my biochemistry and related science subjects. I understand that biochemistry can seem overwhelming at first, so my goal is to simplify complex concepts into clear, logical steps that students can confidently understand and apply.

My teaching approach is highly personalised. Rather than encouraging memorisation alone, I focus on helping students understand the underlying concepts so they can confidently solve unfamiliar problems and perform well in exams.

Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, explaining new concepts with clear diagrams and examples, working through practice questions together, and finishing with exam-style questions to reinforce learning. I also provide study tips, revision strategies, and techniques for answering assessment questions effectively.

My lessons are suitable for:

- VCE Biology and Chemistry students interested in the biochemistry components.
- First and second-year university students studying introductory biochemistry, molecular biology, or related life science subjects.
- Students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their grades, or prepare for exams.

As a current university student, I understand the challenges students face because I have recently completed many of the same topics myself. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
