About Michael
I graduated high school last year scoring 45/45 points on the IB Diploma, with a 95% in HL (Higher Level) Mathematics. I developed an interest towards mathematics teaching throughout my two years of tutoring experience (having taught 5 high school students who have recently taken their exams). I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (my intended major being Actuarial Studies), alongside a Concurrent Diploma in Mathematical Sciences.

My emphasis is on conceptual understanding rather than procedure/rote memorisation wherever possible, as I believe this is essential for mathematics education. I do my best to identify and locate gaps in students' knowledge and write personalised questions to fill in these gaps. On top of everything, I keep all lessons informal and encourage an interactive atmosphere as opposed to lecture-style teaching.
