About Scooby

I am a high-achieving Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Melbourne, recognized on the Dean’s Honors List for maintaining a WAM of 87%. My academic journey is defined by a deep mastery of Accounting; I was ranked Top in Sri Lanka for Accounting in my Cambridge Assessment Exams and achieved a perfect 100% in Financial Accounting at the CIMA Certificate Level. Beyond my own studies, I am a passionate educator with a proven track record of helping others succeed. As a Content Creator for Study-pal, I have produced over 30 educational videos specifically designed to help high school and A-Level students simplify complex accounting and business topics. I also serve as a Peer Mentor at the University of Melbourne, where I provide academic support and study strategies to fellow students. I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and communication skills, refined through my experience as an award-winning public speaker and my current role as a Residential Adviser. My goal as a tutor is to translate my professional and academic insights into clear, actionable lessons that help VCE students build confidence and achieve their own "Top in Country" results.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building a rock-solid foundation for students starting their VCE Accounting journey in Units 1 and 2. As a Dean’s List student at the University of Melbourne, I understand how crucial it is to master the basics early to ensure success in later years.

We will cover the entire study design, from the initial stages of the accounting process and double-entry recording to the preparation of financial reports for service and trading businesses. I simplify complex concepts like GST, depreciation, and inventory management so they become second nature.

Beyond just the numbers, I help students develop the critical thinking skills needed to analyze business performance and ethical decision-making. My goal is to provide you with the personalized tools, practice SAC questions, and confidence needed to excel in your internal assessments and transition smoothly into Units 3 and 4.
