About Whitney
I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. Following my undergraduate degree, I continued my studies at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health where I graduated youngest in my class. I also did a summer immersion program at Harvard Medical School, of which I earned a full scholarship for. After graduate school, I did a fellowship at the National Center for Patient Safety and then continued to lead a project for the National Oncology Program/Institute for Medical Research. I have a strong background in clinical research which I have been nationally recognized for. I am now a medical student at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. I hope to pursue a career as a Pediatric Oncologist/Hematologist!

In medicine, we're taught to "see one, do one, teach one" to gain mastery of skills and concepts. I believe that there is high importance in ensuring students understand subjects so thoroughly that they are able to explain the objectives to others, instead of just memorization. I work with students to help them determine which learning styles best suits their needs and apply a variety of techniques to ensure deep comprehension of any topics they are trying to master. I push students to reach their goals and to believe in themselves!
