About Nadiah

Hello! My name is Nadia, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in STEM subjects. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics, Cellular Biology, and Development, and I am currently a graduate student working towards my master's.

Throughout my academic journey, I have learned that success comes from understanding concepts—not just memorizing them. I enjoy breaking down difficult topics into simple, logical steps and creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

About the lesson

As a University of Minnesota graduate with a degree in Genetics, Cellular Biology, and Development and a current Emory University nursing student, I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is to make challenging STEM concepts feel approachable by breaking them into clear, manageable steps while building confidence along the way.

My teaching style is patient, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. Rather than encouraging memorization alone, I focus on helping students understand the "why" behind concepts so they can apply their knowledge to exams and future coursework. I use practice problems, active recall, visual explanations, and real-world examples to reinforce learning and identify areas that need additional review.

A typical lesson begins with identifying the student's goals and reviewing any difficult topics. We then work through concepts together, solve practice questions step by step, and finish with a summary of key takeaways and strategies for independent study. I also help students improve study habits, exam preparation, and problem-solving skills so they continue making progress outside of tutoring sessions.

My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and college students studying Mathematics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other STEM courses. Whether you're preparing for an exam, catching up in class, or aiming for top grades, I will adapt each session to your learning style and academic goals. My objective is not only to help you succeed in your current course but also to build a strong foundation for future STEM studies.
