With over 16 years of piano experience, I am a university musician with formal music education and experience in performance, competition, and church and gig-based playing. As a sound engineering student, I am immersed in many musical genres, allowing me to bring a versatile and modern perspective to piano instruction. By combining strong technical foundations with creativity and an emphasis on improvisation, I help students become confident, well-rounded musicians — because making music should feel exciting and alive.

Teaching Approach
My teaching style is student-centered, encouraging, and structured. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, learning style, and musical interests while building strong fundamentals in technique, rhythm, and musical understanding. I also place a strong emphasis on improvisation, as I believe learning to explore the keyboard creatively helps students develop confidence, musical intuition, and long-term success.

Lessons usually include a brief warm-up, review of previous material, introduction of new concepts, and guided practice through exercises, pieces, or improvisation. I provide clear, manageable practice goals to support steady progress between lessons.
