About Amelie
I teach GCSE maths and science, and because I’m freshly out of the education system myself, I understand current syllabuses, modern exam expectations and what school genuinely feels like, which helps me relate easily to students. I used to struggle with how I was taught, so my approach is calm, supportive and confidence-building, creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and steadily improving. I work closely with each student to get the best out of every lesson, focusing on clear explanations, structured practice and developing belief in their own ability. Lesson length is agreed with the student but is normally 45–60 minutes, giving us focused time to make real progress together.

I teach GCSE maths and science, and will work with each student to get the best out of every lesson through clear explanations and structured practice. Lesson length is agreed with the student but is normally 45–60 minutes. I achieved grades 7–9 in ten GCSEs, completed the IB with results equivalent to 2 As and 2 As*, and I’m currently studying at the University of Nottingham. My previous tutoring job gave me experience supporting GCSE learners of all abilities, and my international sporting background brings focus, discipline and motivation to my teaching.
