About Charlie
Hi I'm Charlie, a finalist at Balliol College at the University of Oxford studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics! I remember how stressful and challenging exams and understand the importance of a tutor who can inspire confidence and self-belief. Coming from a school where no other students went on to Oxford I hope to expand my student's perspective on options available to them and push them to achieving their full potential. I am happy to set up a brief introductory call to get to know you!
Predicted 1st from Oxford working steadily at a 70+ level.
I achieved 100% on my 11+ exam and got grade 9s in every subject at GCSE, including Maths, English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

2+ years tutoring experience teaching a variety of different subjects including Economics A-level; Maths, Chemistry and English GCSEs. Typically I teach for 60-90 minutes depending on student preference and tailor a lesson specifically to the individual needs of each student to push them to the next grade. For Maths and Economics this generally looks like tackling past papers, picking up topics students found more challenging and revisiting content to ensure strong foundations of knowledge. I foster an encouraging and collaborative environment where students are invited to dictate what it is we focus on and where they are guided to, rather than told, the answer.
