About James
Since I was a GCSE student, I have worked closely with my peers to help them achieve higher marks in maths and physics exams. I have always been happy to work with people, discussing problems together in order to solve tricky questions and arm ourselves with the necessary techniques to face unfamiliar questions in the future.
Since achieving 4 A*s at A level in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry, I have carried my learning philosophy forward to my Materials Science (MEng) studies at the University of Oxford, always helping out fellow students so that they, and I, better understand difficult content, and how to apply it to the exam questions in order to achieve the highest possible marks.

We will approach the subjects by developing problem solving techniques, specifically to tackle past paper questions in a way that will equip you with the skills to deal with any exam problems you may face, even if they are presented in an unfamiliar way. I can also discuss trickier content with you so that you gain a deep understanding of the subject.
I am offering 1 hour sessions for maths, further maths, and/or physics at GCSE and A levels, including the Physics Admissions Test for Oxford. These can be performed online via Zoom/Microsoft Teams, or in-person if you are local to me.
I have helped students at all levels achieve high marks in exams since I was a GCSE student myself, running workshops for younger and older students, and I look forward to working with you!
Review

Perfect! James is an excellent tutor. He is tutoring both mine, one at secondary KS3 level and another for A-Level Maths. James is very patient, prompt and makes the lessons engaging. He adjusts to the pace of learning of the student so that the understanding can be developed. Really pleased with his tutoring style.
