About Asir
My name is Asir and currently, I am a graduate from the University of Rochester applying to medical school. I have experience in teaching within the lab setting and working with difficult concepts, so for students looking for someone what that research edge I can provide a valuable and insightful angle. Additionally, I have also scored a 131 on the biology/biochemistry section of my MCAT, which is the 99th percentile within that section. I am looking to tutor bright and eager young individuals who would like to learn biology.

My teaching approach has always remained to be clear and approach the subject from various angles. I find it most useful to incorporate a lot of conceptual learning and open discussion to answer any questions. For me, it is also vital that students get to practice what they are learning, so if possible I always like to quiz students as we go, so that they retain the material. Additionally, it is imperative that as far as a study strategy goes to help students understand the material in a way they can comprehend, so that is at the center of my strategy.
