About Luna
Hi, I'm Luna! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education (B.S.) from the University of Rochester in New York — a highly respected research university with an outstanding chemistry program and strong connections to pharmaceutical and optics industries. I have 6 years teaching chemistry from middle school through college freshman year through online one-on-one sessions. My "exam autopsy" method consistently produces dramatic improvements in students who have been struggling and repeating the same mistakes without understanding why — because understanding exactly why you got something wrong is infinitely more valuable than simply restudying the same material again. I have helped many students earn AP Chemistry scores of 4 or 5. I was honored with the Chemistry Diagnostic Excellence Award by the New York Science Teachers Association for my mistake-analysis-centered approach to chemistry instruction. Hi! I offer precise, calming, and personalized online one-on-one live chemistry lessons for K-12, high school, college first-year, and bachelor's first-year students. My lessons cover General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Electrochemistry, Food Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Stoichiometry, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Acids and Bases, Thermochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Nuclear Chemistry, and Lab Writing Skills. My completely new method is "exam autopsy" — I ask students to bring their most recent failed or low-scoring chemistry test to our first session and we go through every wrong answer together to identify exactly what went wrong and why. Past mistakes are the most honest and precise roadmap to future improvement. Sessions fully online and tailored to your goals.
