About Kushal
Hi, I’m Kushal — a Mathematical Sciences graduate from the University of Southampton with a real passion for helping students understand and enjoy maths. I know from personal experience how much of a difference a good tutor can make — I had one during my GCSEs and A-Levels, and it completely changed how I approached learning. Now, I want to give that same support and confidence to my own students. I’m a patient, organised, and approachable tutor who believes every student can succeed with the right guidance. I take time to understand how each student learns best and adapt my explanations to suit their style — whether that’s using clear step-by-step methods, visual examples, or lots of practice questions. With my academic background and professional experience as a Business and Data Analyst, I bring both strong subject knowledge and real-world applications into my lessons. My aim is to make maths less intimidating, build confidence, and help students reach their full potential.

Hi, I’m Kushal — a Mathematical Sciences graduate from the University of Southampton. I offer engaging and supportive Maths lessons for GCSE and A-Level students who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and exam technique. My approach is to make maths feel clear, logical, and approachable. I start each lesson by identifying which topics a student finds most challenging, then break down problems step by step using simple examples, quick sketches, and real-life links where possible. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning out loud — this helps them spot gaps in understanding and build confidence in their thinking. Lessons typically last one hour, although I can adjust to suit a student’s needs and attention span. I use a mix of exam-style practice, concept reviews, and interactive problem solving to help students learn effectively. Having studied maths in depth at university and worked as a Business and Data Analyst, I bring a practical, patient, and adaptable teaching style. I understand that every student learns differently — some need visual examples, while others prefer clear, logical explanations — so I tailor my approach to each individual. My goal is for students not only to understand the method, but also to feel confident and positive about maths.
