About Issam

To begin, I’d say I’m no stranger to teaching people of all ages. In fact, I've been helping my younger sister, who's around 6 years younger than I am, with her school work for years now. Furthermore, it's also thanks to the cadets that I’ve had the opportunity to teach a few of my fellow colleagues and youths. When I got to a high enough rank, I've been able to teach on numerous occasions in my time serving the cadets.

Generally, I like to take my time to get to know my student so that I can know what their goals are with the subject, what their learning style is, what they already know, and what they have difficulty understanding. I'm very patient and willing to answer as many questions as it takes for my student to understand. To me, the most satisfying feeling as a tutor and teacher is to watch your student succeed in what you've taught them and have a new understanding on the notions acquired. As a tutor I help build my student's confidence and give them the tools needed for better comprehension.

I'm fluent in english, french and arabic, and my love for languages and writing helps me a lot when I help others in those subjects. I am also very good with history and science. I enjoy helping others, and tutoring is one rewarding way to do it. Overall, I believe that my repertoire of skills, my patience, and my determination to teach anyone in need, all make me a pretty damn decent teacher!

About the lesson

For French learning, I offer personalized tutoring services for students looking to perfect or practice French as well as anyone who might need support in their learning journey.

I adapt to my student's needs and goals when it comes to learning or practicing a language. That includes pacing, the exercises I make my students do, the vocabulary I teach, etc. This means taking our time and dealing with difficulties and problem areas. From my experience with learning languages, repetition is key to success. Whether it's grammar, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, or syntax, what's important isn't to rush as much information as possible into the student's brain. Instead, it's imperative that not only I make sure they understood and feel comfortable with the various elements of a language, but that they correct and repeat the elements to engrave them into their minds. I also value pronunciation a lot when learning a language, so I take some time to teach my students how to pronounce letters and words and offer them helpful tips and exercises to practice.
