About Emma
I have always had a passion for language learning since I started learning Mandarin at 8 years old. Since then, I have picked up numerous other languages and continuously study some of them. The study of linguistics and how language influences culture also fascinates me (it is also a huge reason as to why I want to speak several languages).
It is my hope to be able to pass on this knowledge of language to others and help them feel comfortable in using Mandarin - by teaching important topics to know and practice the language as naturally as possible.

Lessons for introductory level speakers (kids) and intermediate learners (school kids who need assistance with Chinese at school). Our lessons run based on the individuals language goals, however, for introductory learners, this would involve grammar and language rules reinforced by speaking practices. Whilst intermediate learners can have assistance with their writing, pronunciation, and speaking practices.
I have experience as a tutor (including other subjects) and as Tennis coach to young kids. So, I have been equipped with the skills to be able to teach and pass on information effectively. I have learnt Chinese (with a native private teacher) since I was 8 and studied it throughout school. Whilst at school, I was the 'Chinese language' ambassador and placed in several Mandarin competitions.
The suggested length of a lesson would be 1-1.5 hours.
