About Sarah
Hi, my name is Sarah! I am a second year university student majoring in business. I have been interested in art my whole life and have taken various art courses throughout high school and university. These courses allowed me to learn a lot about the principles and strategies of art in order to become a better artist myself. I have worked with children most of my life from babysitting, volunteering at a camp and teaching community centre sports programs. I feel I have a great connection with kids and would love to teach them art in a fun and interesting way!

Throughout the time I spent working with kids I have realized that many age groups can become easily bored because of this my goal is to make each class as interesting and fun as possible. In order to do so i will be introducing new concepts each class in entertaining and hands on ways. As well as I want the kids I teach to be very conformable with me so that they feel comfortable asking as many questions as they want. Furthermore, I will start each class with a new topic or artistic strategy and then the rest of the class will be spent practicing, learning and asking questions. By the end of the class the child should feel good about what they learned so that they can use it when creating drawings, paintings, etc. I would say the desired age group would be elementary school aged kids ranging from 4-13. Although I would be completely comfortable with older ages too as long as they know this is a beginner class and may not be suitable for them if they have extensive previous artistic knowledge. Cant wait to meet and start working with your kids!!
