About Caitlin
I am a recent high school graduate and have taken four years of honors and AP English, as well as achieved a 35 on both the english and reading portions of the ACT. I have three years of tutoring experience through the National Honor Society, as well as experience tutoring younger ages in my community. My goal in working with students is to create not only a greater depth of understanding, but a genuine love for both reading and writing.

- I work with anyone from beginning readers, to underclassmen in high school needing help with reading comprehension and essay writing
- I meet students where they are in their knowledge of ELA, and work from there to build up to where the student needs to be academically
- I like to find things that the student is interested in and base lessons off of that topic to keep it interesting and engaging
- It can get overwhelming to learn a whole lot of new information at once, so I typically start lessons by reviewing what was learned in the session prior, and end with a summary of the material learned
- The older the student is, the more that they lead the session! I will ask the student what they are struggling with, and how they want me to help with that
