About Jing

Hello! I’m Jing, a passionate tutor and University of Toronto graduate with a Statistics Specialist degree and Math minor. With a strong academic background and years of experience solving complex mathematical problems, I specialize in helping students navigate the often-challenging world of calculus and advanced mathematics.

What makes my teaching unique is my ability to simplify complex concepts and make learning enjoyable. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to adapt my teaching methods to fit your specific needs. Whether you're struggling with derivatives, integrals, or limits, I provide clear, step-by-step guidance and practical examples to help you truly understand the material.

I believe that building confidence is just as important as mastering the subject. I create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. My goal is not just to help you improve your grades, but also to help you develop critical thinking skills and a genuine appreciation for mathematics.

Hi, I’m Jing, a University of Toronto graduate with a Statistics Specialist degree and a Math minor. I have a solid foundation in mathematics and specialize in calculus, making complex topics easier to understand with clear, step-by-step explanations. My goal is to help students not just improve their grades, but also build confidence in their problem-solving skills.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps, using real-world examples to make the material more relatable. I encourage students to think critically and guide them through the process of solving problems rather than just providing answers. This way, they develop independent thinking and a deeper understanding of the subject.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
1,Warm-up & Review (10 minutes)
2,Recap of the previous lesson and quick practice problems to refresh key concepts.
3,Concept Introduction (20 minutes)
4,Introduce new topics with clear explanations and visual aids.
Guided Practice (20 minutes)
Solve problems together, gradually increasing in difficulty. I provide hints to help students develop problem-solving strategies.
5,Independent Practice & Feedback (10 minutes)
Students try solving problems on their own, and I provide immediate feedback to correct mistakes and reinforce learning.

What Sets Me Apart
Personalized Learning: I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace and learning style, ensuring they fully grasp each concept before moving forward.
Special Focus on Calculus: With my deep understanding of calculus, I can help students master derivatives, integrals, limits, and more, whether they are in high school or university.
Patience & Encouragement: I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—key steps in the learning process.

Who Are These Lessons For?
