About Kevin
Focusing on the mechanics of acoustic or electric technique, I observe exactly where your fingers need to shift to make that chord transition sound crisp. My 13 years of experience allows me to spot the tiny adjustments in posture or grip that prevent frustration and fatigue.
Because I hold a Bachelor of Music in Education, I can explain the theory behind our exercises in a way that remains simple and easy to digest. We will cover essential skills like reading sheet music, mastering barre chords, and developing your ear training through structured, regular practice.
Whether you are prepping for a grade exam or just want to play better at home, my method ensures you develop a solid foundation. I enjoy helping people find their rhythm and keep their instruments properly tuned and maintained. I look forward to helping you make music as part of our church and community choir style approach.

Teaching guitar involves a specific kind of patience that I have cultivated over 13 years of practice. I started my career focused on the intersection of music and community, eventually finding that sharing these skills with 338 students was the most meaningful path. Whether working with teens or adults who want to improve their technique, I find that a steady approach works best.
My background includes a Bachelor of Music in Education and CELTA, which informs how I break down complex chords or transitions for every student I meet. Music is a language, much like English, and I enjoy helping people learn to play with clarity and confidence. I usually work with performance-focused students and those who need structure to move past their current playing plateau. You can expect a relaxed environment where we focus on mechanics without the pressure of rigid performance standards.
