About Mustafa
Hi! I’m Mustafa, a Physics student at the University of Toronto, and I’d love to help make Math and Physics feel a little less intimidating and a lot more manageable.
Before university, I attended Dubai College, recognized as one of the world’s leading private secondary schools, where I completed the British Advanced Level curriculum in Math and Physics. Studying in such a demanding academic environment gave me a strong foundation in both subjects and taught me how to approach challenging problems, prepare effectively for exams, and perform under pressure. I now build on those foundations every day while studying Physics at the University of Toronto.
But beyond my academic background, I’m still a student myself! I know what it feels like to have a test coming up, to stare at a question and have no idea where to begin, or to understand something in class only to struggle with it later when studying alone. Assignments, deadlines, tests, and exams are still very much part of my life, so I can genuinely relate to the students I work with.
My goal is for you to feel more confident, more capable, and maybe even discover that Math and Physics aren't quite as monotonous as you thought!

As a university student myself, I understand what it’s like to be on the other side of a lesson. I know how frustrating Math and Physics can sometimes feel when something just isn’t clicking, especially when it has only been explained in one way. My goal is to make lessons feel comfortable, engaging, and relatable so students aren’t afraid to ask questions, make mistakes, or say when they don’t understand something.
I also understand the pressure that comes with tests and exams because I’m still taking them myself. I know that understanding a topic and being able to perform under test conditions are two very different things. Alongside teaching the material, I want to help students develop practical test-writing strategies: how to approach an unfamiliar question, manage their time, recognize what a question is really asking, and work through a problem even when the answer isn't immediately obvious.
