About Saron

Hi! I’m Saron, a Psychology student at the University of Toronto with around four years of tutoring experience. I started tutoring in high school and have continued developing my skills through my L2L peer tutoring certification and my experience working with children and youth.

Over the years, I’ve worked with students with different learning styles, personalities, and academic needs. This has taught me to be patient, communicate clearly, and adapt my explanations when something isn't clicking.

I really enjoy helping students go from feeling stuck or unsure about a subject to feeling like they actually understand it. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and work through challenges without feeling embarrassed or judged.

I offer academic support for elementary and high school students in areas including English, math, study skills, homework support, and general academic organization. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on top of their work, or building more confidence in a subject, I want them to leave each session feeling like they made progress. study skills, homework support, and general academic organization. About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are able to understand the “why” behind what they are learning, rather than simply memorizing answers.

Before each lesson, I like to understand what the student is currently working on and where they are having difficulty. A typical session may include reviewing previous material, explaining new concepts in a simple way, working through examples together, and then having the student try questions independently so I can make sure they feel confident with the material.

I also adjust my approach depending on the student. Some students may need more practice and repetition, while others may benefit from breaking a difficult concept into smaller steps or using different examples to make it easier to understand. For younger students, I aim to keep lessons engaging and encouraging while still building strong academic habits.

My lessons are suited for elementary and high school students looking for help with English, math, study skills, homework, or general academic support. As a University of Toronto student with experience working with children and youth, I understand the importance of creating a comfortable learning environment while helping students become more confident and independent learners.
