About Jack
Hi, I'm Jack, an Economics and French student at Warwick University. My love for teaching stems from teaching mathematics to classes of up to 50 students in South Africa, where I saw first hand the impact of a good teacher.
Outside of my degree, I play football for my university league team, tennis with the university club, and wrestle competitively. I also speak French and I am learning Arabic. I enjoy spending my spare time producing house music.
I tutor because I genuinely enjoy maths and want to share that enthusiasm with students who might not naturally see themselves as "maths people." I'm hoping to work in a maths-related field after graduating, so teaching keeps me sharp while helping students build the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
I bring the same discipline I apply to competitive sport and language learning into my tutoring: patience, structure, and a genuine investment in seeing students improve.

I'm an Economics and French student at Warwick University, currently on track for a First. I have hands-on teaching experience delivering GCSE-level maths to classes of up to 50 students, so I'm comfortable explaining concepts clearly and adapting to different paces of learning.
My approach is methodical, patient and example-driven: I break problems down step by step, check understanding as I go, and adjust based on how a student is grasping the material rather than sticking rigidly to a script. I cross-reference against the specific board's mark schemes. Lessons typically run 60 minutes, with time built in for questions and practice problems.
I tutor students at GCSE and A-Level, and I'm happy to work with beginners or those needing extra confidence in the subject. I can follow AQA, Edexcel, OCR or other syllabuses if needed.
